For more than 50 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa has helped children realize their potential and build their futures. They believe that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. By matching “Bigs” and “Littles” they help develop positive relationships that have a lasting effect on the lives of young people.
It takes support, a safe space, resources and love to recover a life interrupted by human trafficking. That’s Dorothy’s House. Since 2016, Dorothy’s House has provided a foundation of safety, basic needs and access to resources that allow survivors to find their healing journey.
Supporting the network of veterans is best done by connecting them with other veterans – and that’s exactly what Irreverent Warrior does. By working with other veteran organizations who provide services to vets, they can collaborate to improve mental health and prevent veteran suicide.
