NCMIC Announces Winners of Travel Award Program for NBCE Part IV Board Exams

We're excited to announce the first-ever recipients of our new NCMIC Part IV Travel Award for students.

NCMIC has announced the first three recipients of its new travel award program, which helps chiropractic students offset the cost of traveling to Greeley, Colorado, to take the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) Part IV Board Examination.

The inaugural winners are:

  • Haleigh Adams — Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida
  • Trenia Stephens — Life University
  • Naiya Estell — Sherman College of Chiropractic

Each recipient will receive a $500 travel award to help cover travel-related expenses associated with taking the NBCE Part IV examination.

Because the NBCE Part IV examination is administered exclusively in Greeley, many chiropractic students must travel to complete this required step toward licensure. NCMIC established the monthly award program to help support students as they prepare to enter the profession.

“At NCMIC, we've spent 80 years taking care of our own, and that commitment begins long before graduation,” said NCMIC President Wayne Wolfson, DC. “We know students are making significant investments in their education, and the added expense of traveling for Part IV boards can be challenging. We hope these awards help relieve some of that burden so students can focus on reaching this important milestone.”

NCMIC will award three $500 travel awards each month through a random drawing administered by US Sweeps. Eligible students may enter during each monthly entry period, and winners will be notified following the drawing.

The travel award program is one of many ways NCMIC invests in chiropractic students and the future of the profession. For more than 20 years, NCMIC's Starting Into Practice® Program has helped prepare future doctors of chiropractic for the transition from school to practice through on-campus presentations and online resources covering business, marketing, practice structures, finances and more.
