Like all insurance, you hope you never have to use your malpractice insurance plan. But, if you do, having comprehensive coverage is imperative. You have a lot at stake … your reputation, your practice and your assets.
Now is the time to make sure you have solid protection in place. Because once you face a malpractice allegation, it's too late.
NCMIC's Malpractice Insurance Plan was designed for chiropractors and includes features and options to best meet your unique needs, such as:
No Case Settled Without Your Approval
NCMIC's Malpractice Insurance Plan is designed to look out for your best interests. That is the reason it includes a true Consent to Settle Feature, which means no case will be settled without your approval. It gives you, the policyholder, every opportunity to protect your reputation.
In addition, because NCMIC does not believe arbitration agreements are in the best interest of our policyholders, NCMIC's Plan does not require them. MORE INFO
Professional Entity/Corporation Coverage
If your practice is a corporation, LLC or partnership, you'll want to make sure it's protected for liability of negligent acts of employees. NCMIC offers both shared and separate entity limit options. MORE INFO
NCMIC's Plan provides up to $5,000 (a maximum of $10,000 per policy period) reimbursement of your defense costs for appearances before a state licensing board. This is in addition to the Supplemental Legal Defense Coverage.
Supplemental Legal Defense
This endorsement includes defense coverage for State Disciplinary Proceedings, civil sexual misconduct allegations, Wrongful Billing and Related Proceedings for federal/state funded programs, HIPAA and Privacy Related Proceedings, and Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) Review.
Dual License Coverage
Doctors of Chiropractic with an additional license as a naturopathic physician, acupuncturist, massage therapist or physical therapist can be covered for professional services provided under both licenses under one policy.
