Naturopath Legal Defense for Covered Proceedings
Our malpractice insurance plan covers your defense costs for various proceedings, including:

- Quality Improvement Organization Sanctions (QIO)

Utilization Review Coverage
If you provide opinions about the adequacy, necessity, or reasonableness of care provided by another naturopath, we’ve got you covered. Utilization review coverage protects you when you evaluate care without performing a physical exam.
This coverage offers defense for up to $25,000 per incident, with an aggregate limit of $50,000 for the policy period.
Peer Review Coverage
Naturopaths often participate in peer review evaluations to assess the quality of care delivered by other practitioners. NCMIC’s peer review coverage ensures that you’re protected when evaluating another naturopath’s professional services.
This coverage includes up to $25,000 per incident and an aggregate limit of $50,000 for the policy period.
Locum Tenens Coverage
If you need a locum tenens (temporary naturopathic physician) to cover your practice, we’ll cover them under your NCMIC policy at no additional charge for up to 60 days per policy period. This coverage helps ensure continuity of care for your patients while you’re away, without worrying about extra costs.
