NCMIC Garners Top Workplace and Best of Honors

According to two recent “best of” surveys, NCMIC is certifiably one of the best places to work in Iowa.

The Des Moines Register named NCMIC one of Iowa’s Top Workplaces 2022 among companies with 150-499 employees. The Register recognized more than 100 Iowa companies and organizations as Top Workplaces for 2022. This is the fifth year NCMIC has claimed a spot on the regional list.

Winners are chosen based on feedback gathered through a nationwide employee engagement survey by Top Workplaces USA. More than 27 million employees across 55 markets were surveyed through Energage, a purpose-driven organization that helps create and develop workplaces that unlock employee potential and inspire development. Energage compares the survey’s research-based statements, including 15 culture drivers to predict high performance, against industry benchmarks to come to the results. NCMIC was nationally recognized as a Top Workplace USA 2022 winner earlier this year.

NCMIC also earned top honors in the Des Moines Business Record's annual Best of Des Moines poll, taking runner up in the Best Company Supporting Charity, Best Company to Work for and Best Company for Promoting Diversity in the Workplace. Additionally, NCMIC Finance Corporation President Tony Dickinson was a named runner up in the Best Up and Coming Business Leader category. The awards were voted on by members of the Des Moines business community.

“It’s an honor to be recognized as a great place to work,” said NCMIC CEO Mike McCoy. “It tells us that the importance we place on taking care of our own—our employees, our customers and the community—is acknowledged and appreciated. It inspires us to look for ways we can do better each and every year.”
