You will be defended for:

• Quality Improvement Organization Sanctions (QIO)
• HIPAA or Privacy Related Proceedings

NCMIC's Plan pays defense costs up to $25,000 per policy period.

Utilization Review Coverage 

You'll be provided defense for opinions you render on the adequacy, necessity or reasonableness of care provided by another naturopathic healthcare professional based on a review of the patient's records, without a physical examination.

Defense costs up to $25,000 per incident/$50,000 aggregate are payable.

Peer Review Coverage

This feature provides defense for your evaluation of the professional services of other naturopathic healthcare professionals.

Defense costs are paid up to $25,000 per incident/$50,000 aggregate.

Locum Tenens

If you use a locum tenens Naturopathic Physician to cover your practice while you're out of the office, the locum tenens can, upon application and approval, be covered under your NCMIC policy at no additional charge for up to 60 days per policy period.
