As a DC, you have a lot on your plate. Luckily, when it comes to home and auto insurance, your agent is happy to lighten your load. When you work together, it's easier to help keep your insurance policies up to date.

You ask your patients to inform you of any health changes so your treatment is most effective. Your insurance agent needs to know about changes in your home or vehicle to help make sure you have the correct coverage.

It’s not always obvious what changes may necessitate a policy update. Any information you provide could lead your agent to find additional changes you haven’t even considered.

Here’s a list of nine scenarios to get you started. Call your agent if you do any of the following:

For Your Home

  • Replace your roof
  • Remodel or add an addition
  • Pay off or refinance your mortgage, or if your mortgage is sold
  • Move out of your home

For Your Auto

  • Buy, sell or trade a vehicle
  • Have a new driver in the household
  • Your student driver has a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Pay off a vehicle loan
  • An insured driver moves out of your household

These are some of the most common items to call your agent about, but it never hurts to contact your agent if you have a question about how any change may affect your insurance. They are here to help you.
