The D.C. Group Term Life Insurance Plan, issued by The Prudential Insurance Company of America, is coverage you can count on for you and your dependents.
Eligibility & Coverage
The D.C. Group Term Life Insurance Plan is for members of The National Business Association for Chiropractors (NBAC) and eligible dependents.

Benefit Amounts
The benefit amount for Member and Spouse/Domestic Partner coverage reduces on the premium renewal date after the member reaching ages 65, 70 and 75, as follows:
- Age 65 - Coverage reduction = 65% of the amount in force at member's age 64
- Age 70 - Coverage reduction = 50% of the amount in force at member's age 64
- Age 75 - Coverage reduction = 35% of the amount in force at member's age 64
Coverage terminates at age 80.
Additional Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage
As an added benefit, if you are covered under the DC Group Term Life Insurance Plan, you will automatically have AD&D insurance coverage. If you, your covered Spouse/Domestic Partner and/or child(ren) die as the result of an accident, an additional benefit amount equal to each person’s term life insurance benefit will be paid.
Termination
As a member, you can keep your coverage all the way to age 80, or until you:
- Are no longer a member of NBAC;
- Die;
- Stop paying the premiums; or
- Master Policy terminates
Your Dependent coverage continues until:
- They are no longer a Qualified Dependent;
- Your Spouse or Domestic Partner reaches age 80;
- Your covered child reaches age 26; or
- Member coverage ends
Exclusion
For the first two years your policy is in effect, suicide is excluded. This applies to both Member and Spouse/Domestic Partner coverage, as well as Dependent child(ren) coverage.
