Jeremy D. Haughton, DC, JD

Dr. Jeremy D. Haughton brings a rare and valuable combination of experience as both a licensed and practicing doctor of chiropractic and trial attorney. He understands chiropractic not only through his experience in practice ownership, management and consulting but also from a legal perspective, advising and representing doctors and clinic owners. 

Dr. Haughton earned his undergraduate degree in Management from Purdue University, his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic – Florida, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law. Before entering full-time legal practice, he owned, managed and consulted chiropractic and multi-disciplinary clinics and has extensive experience handling injury cases, insurance matters, compliance issues, employment law, contracts, and regulatory requirements affecting healthcare providers. He is currently licensed to practice chiropractic in the State of Kansas. 

Dr. Haughton serves as General Counsel for the Kansas Chiropractic Association (KCA) and is a member of the National Association of Chiropractic Attorneys. As KCA Legal Counsel, Dr. Haughton provides guidance and support on legal issues impacting the Association and its members, including regulatory compliance, practice operations, contracts, employment questions, insurance-related concerns, and other matters relevant to chiropractic practice in Kansas. He also advises and represents doctors and other healthcare practitioners before state boards, with insurance audits and in disciplinary matters. His role also includes advising KCA leadership and participating in board-level and policy discussions as needed. 

As a trial attorney, Dr. Haughton represents clients injured in vehicle collisions and in the workplace. He is a member of the Vaccine Injured Petitioners Bar Association and is admitted in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims where he represents clients injured by vaccines, and he can help clients navigate the process of obtaining vaccine exemptions. He is currently licensed to practice law in Kansas and Missouri in both state and federal courts.
