2025 Annual Letter from NCMIC President Wayne Wolfson, D.C.

Dr. Wayne Wolfson, President, NCMIC looks back on the milestones, innovations, and lessons learned in 2024.

As we begin what is sure to be another remarkable year at NCMIC, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible progress we’ve made together in 2024—and to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued trust and partnership. It’s been a year of outstanding growth, transformation, and success, and I’m proud to share some highlights that have made it special.

First and foremost, a few exciting milestones:

  • Record number of DCs insured
  • $500,000 awarded to students through our Bucks for Boards program
  • More than $170 million in cumulative dividends back to our policyholders
  • $20 million donated to chiropractic research through the NCMIC Foundation, including $1 million in 2024 alone

While the year has been marked by many achievements, one focus has been an emphasis on enhancing our technological capabilities. Like you, we believe that investing in cutting-edge tools and infrastructure is essential not only to our own success but, more importantly, to your experience as our valued policyholders.

In 2024, we made technology upgrades and transitioned to a new policy administration system and customer portal. We know that change has come with some bumps in the road for some policyholders. We have talked with many of you at events, on the phone and via email and know there have been some challenges. But we’re thankful for the grace you’ve given us and grateful for your patience as we continue to make this transition which will be transformative.

This upgrade will provide you with more security, more efficiency, streamlined service, and more personalization. Whether it’s easier access to policy information, faster claim processing, or more convenient ways to manage your account, we’re committed to ensuring that every touchpoint with us is as seamless as possible—while still delivering that personal, friendly NCMIC touch. Again, we can’t thank you enough for your understanding as we complete the process.

Whether it’s the countless hours spent on the new portal or the record number of policyholders, nothing that happened in 2024 would be possible without the hard work, dedication, and vision of our incredible team at NCMIC. I’m proud of their tireless efforts to push boundaries and challenge the status quo to move the company—and our service to you—forward.

Another highlight of the year was our inclusion in the Des Moines Register’s “Iowa’s Top Workplaces” list for the seventh consecutive year. We also ranked in the Des Moines Business Record’s “Best Of” poll for Best Company Supporting Local Charity. Those two accolades alone speak volumes about the employees we have and the kind of company we are.

As we look ahead to the future, I am more excited than ever about the possibilities that lie ahead. We remain committed to continuing our investment in innovation, service excellence, and, most importantly, in the relationships we’ve built with you. Each of you is an integral part of the NCMIC family, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to protect and support you, your practice, and the profession as We Take Care of Our Own.

Warm regards,

Wayne Wolfson, D.C.
President, NCMIC
