Dr. Jeff Miller is an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri. He practices as a Chiropractic Physician and Chiropractic Acupuncturist in the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. His practice is in The Missouri Orthopaedic Institute (MOI) on the University’s campus in Columbia.
Dr. Miller’s healthcare credentials include practicing chiropractic for over 36 years, with 31 of those years practicing as a chiropractic orthopedic specialist. He has been awarded fellowships from the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
Dr. Miller has also been certified in utilization and peer review, strength and conditioning, sports chiropractic, medical compliance, meridian therapy, acupressure, and acupuncture.
Dr. Miller’s business credentials include seventeen years of private practice. His achievements during that time led to recognition by The Louisville Courier-Journal newspaper as one of the forty top businesspersons under forty years of age in the Louisville Metropolitan area (The Forty Under Forty Award) in 2002.
He has been an assistant professor at one chiropractic college and the chairperson of clinical sciences at another. Dr. Miller has served as the education and research director for a manufacturer of braces and supports, the clinical director for a large group of chiropractic practices, and the executive director of two medical pain management practices. He holds a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in healthcare.
Dr. Miller is a prolific writer, having published over 250 articles and nine books. He is a columnist for the national chiropractic publication Dynamic Chiropractic and the Columbia Daily Tribune. Dr. Miller has presented over 230 postgraduate programs in 35 states and several countries. In 2021 Miller was recognized by the Missouri Chiropractic Physicians Association (MCPA) as the Educator of the Year. The MCPA honored Dr. Miller with the President’s Award for service to the profession in 2022.
Dr. Miller and his wife Kim have four children and nine grandchildren. They reside in Columbia, Missouri.
