NCMIC Wins Three “Best Of” Awards in Addition to Top Workplace

NCMIC is proud to take home top honors x3 in the Des Moines Register's "Best Of" polls in addition to being named a Top Workplace for the eighth consecutive year.

NCMIC is pleased to announce its continued recognition in the Des Moines Register’s Top Workplace and the Des Moines Business Record’s Best Of polls.

Des Moines Business Record’s Best Of

The Des Moines Business Record’s annual Best Of poll is voted on by members of the Des Moines business community. Despite numerous appearances on the list, 2025 marks the first time NCMIC has earned top honors in three categories:

  • Best Company to Work For
  • Best Business Supporting Local Charity
  • Best Property/Casualty Insurance Company

“This recognition means so much because it comes from people who live and work right here in Central Iowa,” said David Siebert, CEO of NCMIC. “We’ve always believed that doing the right thing for our employees, our customers, and our community is the foundation of long-term success. It’s no coincidence that we were named ‘Best of Des Moines’ in three categories that represent each of these groups—it shows that our efforts have been meaningful.”

Des Moines Register’s Top Workplace

The Des Moines Register named NCMIC one of Iowa’s Top Workplaces 2025 among mid-size companies with 150-499 employees. Overall, the Register recognized 149 Iowa companies and organizations as Top Workplaces for 2025. This is the eighth consecutive year NCMIC has claimed a spot on the regional list.

Winners are chosen based on feedback gathered through a nationwide employee engagement survey by Top Workplaces USA. Employees across several different markets were surveyed through Energage, a purpose-driven organization that helps create and develop workplaces that unlock employee potential and inspire development. Energage compares the survey’s research-based statements, including several culture drivers to predict high performance, against industry benchmarks to come to the results.
