As 2025 winds down, it's the perfect moment to look back on a year that reminded us of the importance of chiropractic and why it matters more than ever.
In this episode of Chiropractical, host Jon Kec shares the memorable moments that defined this season. From Super Bowl adjustments to candid conversations about the future of chiropractic, 2025 gave us plenty to learn from. Here are the highlights worth revisiting, and the conversations you'll want to hear in full.
Defining Moments and Game-Time Adjustments
In Episode 9, Baltimore Ravens Team Chiropractor Dr. Alan Sokoloff shared an unforgettable Super Bowl-weekend moment. When faced with a high-stakes adjustment and no traditional table in sight, "Dr. Sok" helped an athlete get back into game shape. The moment wasn't just dramatic, it captured what makes chiropractic extraordinary.
Confronting Burnout With Honesty
In episode 7, Dr. Mario Fucinari joined us to talk openly about burnout and the pressures chiropractors face. Dr. Fucinari offered three actionable items that can reconnect you to your "why" and help you stay present. His words resonated because they spoke to the heart of our profession, a service rooted in humanity.
Elevating the Patient Experience
Dr. Lisa Goodman joined Chiropractical in Episode 3, to remind us that great care extends beyond the adjustment. Her approach of reinforcing positive patient habits, communicating proactively, and creating meaningful touchpoints before and after each visit, reminded us that the patient experience is built long before they step into the adjusting room.
Creating Clarity in the Profession
At our live recording during The National by FCA in Orlando, Dr. Glenn Jaffe and future DC Kevin Rosario shared the need for a unified message in chiropractic. Despite differing techniques, they stressed the importance of anchoring our profession to shared principles and the core power of the adjustment.
Hear our live recording in it's entirety in Episode 8.
Understanding Treatment Plan Adherence
We were joined by Dr. Tom Ventimiglia in Episode 6 to shed light on why patients often struggle with treatment plans. More often than not, life circumstances, not biomechanics, get in the way. Dr. Ventimiglia's approach encourages understanding and solutions tailored to real-world challenges.
Honoring a Legacy of Service
This year also included a heartfelt farewell Mike Whitmer, known simply as "Whitmer" to so many of you, who retired after 24 remarkable years at NCMIC. In Episode 4, Whitmer reflected on the evolution of the profession and the relationships built along the way that left a lasting impression. His experiences remind us just how interconnected our chiropractic community truly is.
