Chiropractical Podcast Welcomes NFL Chiropractor Dr. Alan Sokoloff

The Chiropractical podcast is excited to welcome Dr. Alan Sokoloff for a discussion about game-day treatment, the care of elite athletes, and what it takes to get into sports chiropractic.

Chiropractical, NCMIC’s monthly podcast for chiropractors, is excited to feature Dr. Alan Sokoloff—better known as “Dr. Sok”—the longtime team chiropractor for the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles, and a recognized leader in sports chiropractic care.

In this engaging episode titled, “What’s It Like to Be an NFL Chiropractor?”, Dr. Sokoloff shares insights from his decades of experience working with professional athletes, as well as practical advice for chiropractors looking to expand into sports care. From the pressures of game-day treatment to the importance of injury prevention, listeners will get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to support elite athletes on and off the field. And you won’t want to miss his story about the big game when the lights went out!

Since 1999, he has continued to be one of the team chiropractors for the two-time World Champion Baltimore Ravens of the NFL. He is also a medical team member for the Baltimore Orioles Major League Baseball team, as well as the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles AA Team). Dr. Sok has been a part of the University of Maryland Sports Medicine Team since 1991. He is the immediate past president of the Professional Football Chiropractic Society and the past two-term president of the Maryland Chiropractic Association. Dr. Sokoloff did his residency at the Olympic Training Center in 1997, going on to the Goodwill Games in 1998 and the Pan Am Games in 1999.

“Having Dr. Sokoloff on Chiropractical is a thrill,” said Chiropractical Host Jon Kec, DC. “His experience with the Ravens and the Orioles, in addition to his leadership in sports chiropractic, make this episode especially valuable for doctors of chiropractic who want to learn from the very best in the field.”
