Suku Radia

Suku Radia retired in 2017 as CEO of Bankers Trust, Iowa’s largest independent community bank. Under his leadership, earnings of the bank increased from $11 million to $47 million. Prior to joining Bankers Trust in 2008, he served as CFO of Meredith Corporation, the nation’s leading diversified media company, for eight years. Mr. Radia has been active in several professional, economic development, educational and charitable organizations. He currently serves on the boards of Nationwide Insurance Company and Workiva, an NYSE company. He has served on the Board of United Way of Central Iowa as vice chair, executive committee member and campaign chair. He was the board chair for Mercy Medical Center. Mr. Radia also served as chair for the 2017 Solheim Cup, Greater Des Moines Partnership and the Better Business Bureau of Iowa. He also served on the executive committees of Drake University and the Des Moines Art Center. Mr. Radia was a member of the Iowa State University Foundation Board of Governors and Dean of Business College’s Advisory Council. In 2010, he was inducted into the Iowa Business Hall of Fame. Born and raised in Kampala, Uganda, Mr. Radia came to the United States in 1971 to attend Iowa State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree, with Distinction, in 1974.
