Dealing with an allegation after you’ve done your best for a patient is emotionally stressful. This stress can manifest itself as:
- An inability to concentrate
- An inability to cope with everyday tasks
- Self-questioning of your overall clinical expertise
Being sued is overwhelming and doesn’t mean you’re not a good doctor. At NCMIC, we want to help you every step of the way. That's why our Claims Assistance Program provides up to six, one-hour counseling sessions with a licensed and/or credentialed professional for doctors who are experiencing the stress of a claim.
