You may have made a significant investment in your car, motorcycle, ATV or other vehicles. Protecting them in case of an accident—and protecting those who may be injured in an accident—is just one reason you need insurance.
Insurance coverage may vary based on the vehicle—personal autos, boats, classic cars, RV, motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, etc. Our agents can discuss the options available so you can make the right choice when it comes to insuring your vehicles.
Auto Insurance – What's Covered
Typically, auto insurance includes six types of coverage:
Bodily Injury – For injuries you, a designated driver or policyholder cause to someone else. You and family members listed on the policy are also covered when driving someone else's car with their permission.
Medical Payments – Pays for treatment of injuries to the driver and passengers of the policyholder's car.
Personal Injury Protection – Provides coverage for medical expenses, loss of income, funeral expenses, and similar expenses regardless of who is at fault.
Property Damage Liability – Pays for damage caused to someone else's property.
Collision – Pays for damage to your car from a collision with another car, object or as a result of flipping over.
Comprehensive –- Reimburses you for loss due to theft or damage caused by something other than a collision such as fire, falling objects, windstorm, hail, flood, etc.
Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Coverage –- Provides reimbursement if you, a family member or designated driver is hit by an uninsured or a hit-and-run driver.
